Hello, and welcome to Redpoll Holiday Lettings. I'm Tracy, and together with my husband Dave, we've created a UK Holiday Lettings Platform to connect verified property owners with guests to provide a personalised and affordable lettings service: something we wish had existed when we first started renting out our caravan nine years ago.
Redefining holiday lettings: better for owners, better for guests
Like many families, Dave and I bought our caravan to spend more quality time with our kids. Based on a site near Newquay in Cornwall, it became our escape from the pressures of work and business, a place where we could simply be together, making memories that matter.
When we first bought our caravan, I quickly realised it wasn’t a cheap thing to own. So, like thousands of other owners, I decided to rent it out during the weeks I wasn’t using it. In the beginning, it worked brilliantly. I used smaller booking platforms that felt personal, fair, and genuinely supportive, we had a choice of how we wanted to organise our business.
But over the years, things changed. The personal touch disappeared, Fees went up. And we found myself feeling more like a number than an owner.
That’s when we knew something had to change.
We wanted to bring back real conversations, real support, and real people. We wanted owners to have someone they could actually talk to — someone who understands how busy life can be and how overwhelming managing listings and bookings can feel.
So we created a website designed for owners, by an owner. A place where you can choose the level of support that fits your lifestyle.
The Bookings Market Changed
As time moved on, I started to notice that all the smaller booking companies were being swallowed up by the big businesses. And with that came a very different experience — less personal, less supportive, and a lot more expensive. Instead of feeling valued and paying a fair price to advertise, renting out our caravan suddenly became costly and much harder to manage.
Because we didn’t have endless spare cash to throw at it, it became difficult to create the really lovely experience we wanted for our guests. And for us, that’s always been the heart of it — giving families a great holiday, helping them make memories, and welcoming them back year after year to enjoy everything the UK staycation has to offer.
That’s when the lightbulb moment happened. Why not build the kind of holiday‑lettings platform we would want to use?
The Problem We're Solving in the Holiday Lettings Market
Through our experience of running our properties for the last 10 years, we identified two major issues in the holiday lettings market:
For guests: How do you know you're dealing with a genuine property owner and not a third-party reseller? I often received enquiries that led to a tedious back-and-forth just to prove I was who I said I was. Guests deserve better than that uncertainty.
For owners: The big platforms make it nearly impossible to speak to a real person. Everything happens through automated systems, making communication difficult for owners trying to reach support and for guests wanting to connect with their host.
Our Solution: A Personal Touch
Drawing on our experience running our other business, RM Service (SW) Ltd, we built Redpoll Holiday Lettings from the ground up. We wanted to create a platform where:
- Owner authenticity is thoroughly verified, giving guests peace of mind.
- Property owners can verify their guests' identities too.
- Everyone can speak to real people when they need to
- Costs remain reasonable, so owners can invest in making their properties wonderful.
- Personal connections are valued and encouraged.
We feel as Owners and Guests when they run the booking platform and can make there own choices, everyone's interests align. We all want the same things: good service, happy guests, and repeat bookings.

Why
You might be wondering about our unusual name. The Redpoll is a finch, about the size of a sparrow, known for building nests in shrubs and the branches of small trees like spruces, alders, and willows. We happen to live on a road named after this little bird, and when we were brainstorming business names, it clicked perfectly.
We're helping our guests and owners create nests away from home, places they can fly away to and settle in straight away. It's about that feeling of belonging, even when you're somewhere new.
